Volunteers welcome
At Jewish Hospice Immanuel, the warm involvement of volunteers plays an indispensable role. Together with our care team, our volunteers offer more than care: they create an environment of well-being, safety and trust for residents and their loved ones in an important phase of life.
We currently have room for new volunteers!
Why become a volunteer?
As a volunteer at Jewish Hospice Immanuel, you contribute to the well-being of others in a unique way. You become part of a close-knit and diverse team, in which everyone can use their talents and where attention is paid to personal growth.
What do you do as a volunteer?
- You offer warmth and attention to our residents and their loved ones.
- You are committed, supported by professionals, to the well-being of our residents and their loved ones.
- You help create the home atmosphere.
We are looking for people who:
- Be flexible and reliable.
- Be motivated to learn and collaborate in a diverse environment.
- Be available two half-days of 4 hours per week and a number of weekends/holidays per year.
- A healthcare background is not necessary.
What to expect?
- Meaningful work: Your presence gives residents and their families peace and relief.
- Support and training: We offer guidance, an induction program, a basic course of approximately 8 half days, and training to help you fulfill your role with confidence.
- Accident and liability insurance while at work;
- An engaged community: you become part of a team that works together out of compassion and connectedness.
Does a volunteer have to be Jewish?
- The hospice has a Jewish signature, but is open to everyone. This applies to residents and volunteers.
- An affinity with Judaism is nice.
- Volunteers with their heart (lev) in the right place are always welcome!
